How much room?????

How much sq ft would i need for 3 plants? Here are some pictures of the room they are currently in.


Im thinking of removing the countertop that the plants are on at the moment. I am getting a 400watt MH/HPS tomorrow and I need to get this figured out soon.

This might vary depending on the strain and how large of plants you want. Usually 1 square foot/plant is ok

jeremy is right - it depends on how big you want them to be.
I started flowering when my plants were about 12" tall and they are now (3 weeks into flowering) over 3' tall!

Nice email! I have 6 vegging now (from clone) for about 4 weeks that are between 2.5 and 3 ft tall. Gonna move them into flower within the next few days or so. My rooms only about 7.5 ft high so I'm hoping they don't triple this time like yours did or I may not be able to keep my light high enough to not burn 'em. I know I should have flowered by now probably, but haven't had much time to be able to hang out in my room and move the light around cause of the holidays and kids around... Those six will be my 3rd batch and looking like the best yet The more practice and reading I do here the more it helps.
