How much smell where there be

Iam growing 7 plants in the basement under my livingroom.was wondering if the smell from the plants will be present in my livingroom.I dont have my grow area vented outside yet as this is just temp.. setup till I get my outside shed heated to grow in.Dont want my teenagers to find my grow area as they would for sure know what I was growing if they could smell it.

yeah depensds on strain my friend has 12 like 8" tall still vegging and i could smell thyem down the hall when i went to his house yesterday

I have found the heat from the lights will rise and with it will come some of the smell. Try air fresheners in the living room. This could very a lot depending on the strain as well like Endoe said.

Thanks for the replys.Iam growing BC-GOD BUD.Iam using CFLs for lighting,It stays cool in that area as there is no heat ducts there,but not cold enough to harm the grow.Iam thinking where it doesnt get hot there this might help with the smell.

get some ona scent killer gel. it works great. also invest in a carbon filter. nothing beather the smell control of carbon. I was growing in my basement and could smell it all over my house. Hooked up a carbon filter and no more smell. air even seems a bit fresher.

God will be very stinky I've heard. If smell is a concern you should probably get a carbon filter. But it won't be for a while at least until they flower.

Well i would think it depends on how your house is setup. But i imagine 7 plants would stink a whole house, but you say you dont want your teenagers to find it. Your not afraid of someone going down in your basement?
