how much space do i need?

I have s 400w hps(no-air cool)
I want to use s 10 gal pot (HF soil+amendments)
8in booster fan for exhaust (winter time is cold so heat isn't an issue really.
Any ideas I can't find anything really that blows my mind yet.I would idealy like close to a half pound to 3/4.
Any ideas! ? Thanks.

Yes. Hydroponics. Enough space for an 18 gallon Rubbermaid bin to hold 2 plants. Veg them for 2 months and then go for it.

You need a lot bigger light for the yeild you want to achieve.
The bigger the plant the bigger the yeild the bigger the light you need.

Keep a close eye on the temps being put off on that light, dont want anything bad to happen.
