How should I suspend my light

Hey guys I'm about to move my seedlings under my HPS and I was a bit curious as to how to hang the ballast. I'm growing in a room with an 8 ft ceiling. I was thinking maybe using those hooks you screw into your ceiling to hang plants from and use two of those with chains hanging down to the ballast connected with a S hook. I'm a little sceptical about the whole thing because the ballast weighs a good 35 lbs and if it was to fall for whatever reason my plants (and possibly the light itself) wouldnt survive the trauma. This is my first grow so growroom setup is not one of my specialties. Any help is appreciated.

those hanger hooks your talking about hanging from your cieling is a good idea, but you have to make sure that you drive them into a cieling rafter/stud. depending on if your using a table or just putting the plants on the ground you should make your chain hanging from the hooks at least18in from your plant containers long how ever long that is. so you can adjust your light hight accordingly.

I use 4 of those hooks that go into walls, two pulleys and some rope. Put up two hooks for each side of the light, throw a pulley on each hook. Put the other two hooks somewhere on the side of the wall, so you can wrap the rope around and adjust it how you wish. Thread the rope through the pulley, down to the reflector, back through the pulley, then to the hooks on the wall.
