How Soon to switch?

How soon can I switch light sorce on my seedlings from 4' floro to 400 w hps? Thanks

I would run them under the fluoros until you're ready to induce flowering. Wait until you can see the female pre-flowers. You should already know roughly how tall of a plant that your grow space can accomodate. After flowering is induced, your plant will grow in size by 100-200 percent. Keep this in mind when switching to 12/12.
