how to heat my room?

I am looking for help in heating my room. I am in Seattle, and the temperatures get down into 30s at in the winter. My room setup has a nice fan that pulls the air through the veg and flower rooms to the outside. The fan is on 24hrs. I can put in a space heater, but I am afraid the fan will just draw out the heat. I could turn off the fan during the dark period, but then my veg room would not get any ventilation. Or maybe I can put the space heater at the intake vent, so the air heats up as it comes in? Anybody have experience with this?

Hey Boris..

1. yes you can turn off your fan during the dark period.. I would do that before i added a space heater...
2. when the air is blown out of the room, where does the room get its fresh air (intake) from? Is it from your living quarters? The air in the room should match the temp of the air that is being drawn into the room...regardless of where you blow it out to..

cheers

1. So just to make sure, if I turn off the fan at night, my V room will be fine? The fan vents both rooms, and the light is always on in V. My cuttings are in there too.

2. The intake vent is on an inside wall, so the air comes in from a room in the house. However, the window is open in that room, so for all practical purposes the air comes in from the outside. My grow room is on the bottom floor (not basement) and my living quarters are on the top floor, so I don't heat the grow floor at all. In other words, the air that comes into the room is pretty much at the outside temperature.

Thank you for the suggestions!
