How to keep pH in check when you are not home.

pH goes up as the plant grows and absorbs plant food. If you a going to be away for more than a weeks time, most likely the pH ion in your stock tank will climb over 7. This is not good, as it prevents the plant from absorbing nutrient. . Here is a simple way to help keep the pH lower than 7 for up to two weeks.
For each 10 gallon mixture in your stock tank take one lemon, cut the lemon in half and dump the two half's into the stock tank. They will work as a slow acid releaser. It does vary how long they keep the pH value down. If you want to know exactly, try with lemon in your tank while you are home and can monitor how it works in your particular system.

I have read this on the internet is this true has anyone tried this before?

Not precise enough for me. I'd be afraid it would lower it too fast and too much. I would never leave my grow alone for more than a day or so - I'm overprotective!
