how to know when to harvest?

my plant is maybe 4 weeks old im not too sure because it just magically appeared in my back yard so since then i have transferred it to a new pot and been keepin it in the sun and watering it and it has been doing great gettin bigger and bigger..

i was just curious .. when is the best time to harvest... obviously it will start budding here in the next couple months .. any advice?

for my outdoor plants i wait till the first frost
