How to mount

a 2x4 into plaster...

Im going to be making a room with some polly or pandfilm, whatever you guys would call it..... What do you think the best way to mount a 2x4 into plaster would be? I wish my walls were just drywall so I could staple a room together.. but noooooooooooooooo....

sorry if its a little confusing.....

maybe some people with plaster walls would help.. I just need a way to hang up my polly.

velcro just sounds like a pain in the arse to meee.. and a 1x2 would be better!! thanks for that!

I hate having plaster walls.. shit sucks ass.

if it is a lathe and plaster wall be very careful not to crack the plaster or it will lose tabs on back and weaken and could fall off that would suck

Yes use screws but drill pilots first. and a 1x2 for sure. or if you dont mind a bit of xtra work and it is not your house just build a 2x4 frame the size of the entire room. poly the outside, zipper door and you have your walls intact and something to hang your lights from too!

constuction glue if screws dont work. available at homedepot and lowes. they also sell anchors that srew into plaster then screw go into anchors. go to homedepot tell them what your trying to do and they will show you. these things are commen the are also used to hang pics on walls and shit from cielings. also wing anchors. drill small hole insort them and the wings open so they wont come back out. ask them they will walk you right to them
