How to use syringe filters

I want to filter QWISO with a syringe filter after passing it through paper coffee filters. I need a .2micron filter. Is there any special type of syringe I should use? And what size syringe, preferable a large one? I've never done this before, any suggestions or instructions would be appreciated. Any links to some affordable ones. Are they single use only? Need some proper guidelines. Thanks
FYI helping a friend make QWISO from PM buds.

these are the kind I use
I think you are supposed to only use them once

what you need is a Luer-Lock Syringe

I think whatman may be a better brand though and I think they have reusable glass filters
if you purchase through amazon it should recommend the proper syringe for the filter

if you are going to do this in large amounts i would recommend a vacuum assisted Buchner funnel
because pushing through those filters can be a pain in the ass if you have a lot to filter

hope that helped!

You can use either PVDF or PTFE filters for alcohol. Compatibility with other solvents can be found here http://www.labhut.com/syringe-filter-chemical-compatibility-guide/
If you intend to use syringe filters you will want to winterize. Forcing the saturated alcohol through the filter is laborious so you will want to limit the amount that you will flow through it. You will want to reduce the amount by evaporating some of the solvent, but in doing so you will force some of the solute (fats and waxes to precipitate). This will lead to constant fouling of the filters with those lipids.
Whatever you choose there is one important tip. If you shine a laser through the solution and you cannot see any interference in the solution then you can filter it. If you can see some inference of the beam then you must add more solvent or filter it better before using the syringe filters.

Every syringe filter is used for different purposes. For example, a PTFE filter is used for aerosol sampling, air venting, and gas filtration. PVDF filter is used for purification during sterilizing or clarifying procedures.
