Interesting..... For all these years I've been calling them "Trichromes"....

And to think I was spelling just FINE before the internet came along......

If I was going by the pubic hair in the 3rd picture, I'd say it was done.......

But, no, they aren't done.

Are you going by preference . To have 30% amber for a mix of some couchlock or just In general they aren't ready.

I have 3 strains going . I'm wanting to test preference I'm not a huge fan of couch lock smoke . If I want to get absolutely baked I'd smoke up some hash which will definitely be the plan down the line . Couchlock weed I'm not really a fan..

Zee pubis is not really a pubis it's a jumper fiber

Yeh, you can't go by the old adage of "If she's got pubic hairs she's old enough"... anymore... LOL!

What you're looking for when looking through the loupe, is looking at the numbers of trich heads(the little round balls on the stalks) you see there will be hundreds of them in the loupe, when 30% of the little round heads are cloudy(amber), is the general rule of thumb. a higher count will bring more of the "holy fuck am I stoned, I need a couch!!" buzz.

To harvest when nothing is cloudy(amber), and real green will be a harsher tasting shorter buzz. That for me leaves me with extreme munchies or a headache. Depending.

Got pictures of the whole plants?

3 DIFFERENT strains? So no duplicates of the same strain? I don't think that would be the best way to test what stage you want to flower considering you'll have no idea what each individual strain would be like at each stage.
Your strains will be more of a determining factor than when you harvest. The most sleepy couchlock strains will still have echoes of those side effects even if you harvest premature.
The strains that are more mild will be the worst impacted because if you harvest them prematurely, they'll most likely be much weaker than they could have been, which wouldn't have been sleepy or couchlock anyhow.
If I wanted to compare strains I would try to harvest them all at peak ripeness and compare them. The ones I like best would be the ones I grow again, and if for some reason it was still too strong even though I liked it- then I'd consider changing my harvest time.
Ps. I don't harvest premature unless it's some sort of emergency.

LOL yea I've had some smoke like that before short buzz munchies mild headache . I've also had that with couch lock though except the buzz lasted longer not so much a buzz though just couch lock . Used to smoke alot of hash so maybe I'm just to that . hopefully this time round I can get it right . I've another two strains which I'm looking forward to trying out gelato og which I believe is 25% thc although shes at least another 3 weeks to go

Yea I'm just getting a generalisation at the moment. I will be growing a few motherplants and clones at some stage but I'm cut in the process of getting ready to move so shits on pause for a month or so. But I've a couple of other seeds all the same.strains I have and distributor so of these are good hopefully they will be of similar quality but time will tell . I'm partial to clone the gelato og it's been the healthiest , the biggest and the buds are going to be the most dense and thc Is roughly 25% .( Gelato left , White widow right ) This one is northern lights from seedsman. But yea I'll have to do more testing with trichomes once I get some clones dialed in with various strains

If you want less couch lock and more uplifting, just get the proper plant. No sense in harvesting an indica early thinking it will change into something it is not. I would grow everything to maturity, find out what works best for you, then run clones of that strain and start harvesting a bit early or late for a preference once you know what to expect. Northern Lights and Gelato OG are indicas/dom, so if you don't want couch lock, you grew the wrong plants.
