Hps buzzing

thanks man sounds good. just hope it doesnt give out or ill have to flower with my mh till i get a new hps
 
The light should not buzz, but the ballast probably does...mine does but not too bad...I cannot hear it outside my closet...err.....grow room.
 
my light actually humms it could be mistaken for buzzing. you can hear electricity flowing. but the balast buzzes they all do
 
My Bulb does not buzz but the ballast does a little when you start it up then it buzzes but not as loud. I have not had to change my bulb as yet so dont know what happens when it gives up.
 
If the bulb is buzzing it's usually because the bulb is lose,alot of guy's are afraid to tighten bulb's in the socket properly,just wait till it's cool & gently but firmly give it a twist,should fix it right up.

The constant vibration from the buzzing is not good for the filiment in the bulb,shortens bulb life.

Yeah, that was the case with my bulb. When I first hooked up my light I was like "what the fuck, is this bulb suppose to be sounding like that?" lol.
