hps lighting

hey i was wondering if hps floodlights were any good for flowering, such as this 100 WT HPS WALLPACK FIXTURES - 4 UNITS - (eBay item 300166896171 end time Nov-04-07 16:37:17 PST)

too small for the money. with shipping it is close to $90 for just a little more you can get you a 400w or even a 600 watt with reflector, just look around. look in ebay under "home and garden", then hydroponics/

sorry, just realized that the price is for four of them, good deal, but i dont think that the light output you get from four of these would outweigh the heat put off compared to one 400w or 600w. someone with more expertise than i can back up or correct me.

also, there's no wiring you have to fuck with when you buy that system. just my $.02 though.

yeah seriously unless they are free they arent worth using, youll be glad you got a real grow light. they are made to hang and have a seperate balast and yeah no wiring. go with johnnypotseeds link.
