Do hps lights run hotter as they age? Got a 600w and never had heat problems as ingrow in the basment with my inline fan on low and always had temps abit too cold. Now all of a sudden on the 4th month of constat use heat is spiked at 75 f and thats with the fan on full blast. Nothing has changed is it time for a new bulb maybe?
Thankyou

As ballast fail they can create extreme heat. Check there.

Double check your air flow intake and exhaust... Carbon Filters / pre-filters may be causing less air changes if they are no longer new and contaminant free, there for increasing temperature. May need to increase fan speed to overcome greater filter resistance.
