HPS vs Metal Halide

wats up rollitup i just started my first big grow. ive got about a 8x10ft area, growing 12ladies. right now ive got a 400watt Hps and 4 4ft fluorescent(only temporary) i plan on getting another 400watt fixture within the next week or so, and i was wondering if i should switch to metal hallide for Veg and then switch back to HPS for flowering? am i right or should i just stay with my HPS?

I think you are correct. I would go with MH for veg and hps for flower.

HPS will do the job in veg as well, but I would recommend to use MH first. My MH bulb blew 2 weeks into my grow and while I was waiting for a replacement I was using my HPS. The plants certainly grew about the same under the HPS but when I put the MH back in there, there was a whole lotta new growth all of the sudden. So I'm not sure if that was coincidence or not but I'd go with 6500k Agro Max MH!!
