Humboldt Seed Org Blue Dream smoke report

Strain- Humboldt seed org. Blue Dream.
Grown in DWC under 600w and scrogged. GH nutes with modified Lucus Formula. Very vigorous growth in veg. Bushy sativa dominate. She tried to hog the whole screen(4x4) for herself. No deficiency issues and she took everything I threw at her. Finished in about 65 days from 12/12 but I had to wait until day 72 to harvest. Dried and manicured it came out to 222g. Plus about 7g taste testers and 10g popcorn.
Smell- Very fruity up to 3 week in flower then turned very hazy/musky until the end. Jarred for a couple weeks and not much of a smell, just a hint of dried fruit coming on.
Taste- 2 week cure, smooth on the inhale and fruity smoke on the exhale. Very good flavor. My guess is more cure time will only improve the taste which is really good right now.
Appearance- Very nice looking. Good sized buds with good colors. Tight dense buds. Not super frosty like a good white widow but plenty frosty.
The High- Rolled up a tiny .25g joint. After a few pulls you start to feel it right behind the eyes and it fills your head up. Within a few minutes you feel it traveling down your body and puts your body in a deeply relaxing state. Even in this state your mind remains very clear and up. At this point it is up to you to do what you want to do. If you want to get up and tackle some projects BD will give you the motivation and energy to complete those tasks. If you want to sit and veg out BD will allow you to do that with no worries. No couchlock or burn out with all day smoking. Very good daytime smoke. The initial high lasts for about 2 hours but what I liked even more was that the motivational/inspirational aspects of this medicine last for several hours more. Now for the bad. Don't get me wrong because while potent it was not what I was hoping for. It is too middle of the road for me. Not too cerebral, not too body. I would have preferred either a 'kick you in the butt get up and find a cure for cancer' or a lay back can't fully function type of smoke. Or somewhere in between but more intense on either end of the spectrum. A buddy of mine who has access to many strains loves my BD. He is a daily .5g-1g smoker and says that he would happily pay the $20/g he pays for other smoke. He likes it because it gets him going and he can use it all day at work while still remaining focused and clear when called upon. For me this is just mid-grade. 7/10
Summation- Easy grow with excellent yields. Very good high but not stoned, ripped or totally baked. I did clone her because I want to see what I can do with her as far as yield and finishing time. Might not grow it out again after this run just because there are so many strains and too little time.
Thanks for checking in.

Damn I've grown BD several times in the past.I smoke large and i found it to be one of the best 50/50 I/S hybrids I've smoked.the strain i grew was out of Colorado.it was a little more on the hazy side as far as the high ,but the berry taste came through with a long cure.dont give up on blue dream, maybe from a different breeder.

bluesdad- I'm not going to give up on it. Just there are so many other things to try. Even though I called this mid-grade I find this is my goto smoke over my other two strains. I also said before that this smoke will not get you totally ripped, stoned or baked. I was incorrect. Last night a rolled up a .35g joint and got baked. And while this stuff is a good balance between mind and body high the cerebral effects are at the forefront. Its been curing for about a month now and the taste keeps getting better. Gave some to two different friends and both independently commented on the good smoke and flavor, as well as the potency. One of them also commented on how good it looked(red hairs and frost). If I were a commercial grower I might take a look at this one. Great yield, 8-9 week finish, easy grow, great body and mind medicine.

I just grew out HSO's Blue Dream, and I found mine to be very similar to how you described it. I actually loved the strain. It isn't the most potent strain, but I loved the taste. Plus it yielded pretty good too. I would say above average on the yield. I found it an easy plant to grow. I also found this strain to be pretty uniform with 3 plants looking identical.

I just grew one out from humbolt and to tell you the truth I was very disappointed. The yield was definitely there but that's about it :( didn't get any haze
or bluberry smell. All I got was a cat piss smell, so I let it cure for 4 weeks and now there's nothing? I'll admit I only grew one and I'm popping the last now
of them now so I'm hopping I'll get something a bit better this run.

I might try calis s1 blue dream haze. Any one grow there's out yet?

Bummer about the seed and plant bro. I have one going that I just transplanted into a 3 gallon, looks ok but I have a legit Blue Dream cut that I've had for a while and it looks completely different than the HSO B Dream. The cut I have has real thin sativa leaves and smells exactly like a mix of Blueberry and haze. The clone goes 9 weeks exactly, how long did you take yours?

I'll upload some pics for comparison if you want.

Peace,

Slip.

I actually let it go the 9 weeks hoping that the smell would show up as it matured, but unfortunately it didn't happen. I wish I had
access to the real BD. If you could show me what your cut looks like or bud that would be great bro :)

Cheers
