F fim New Member Dec 8, 2013 #1 I was thinking about putting a bunch of hydroton into the reservoir, i figure it would act as a filter, but more importantly, give beneficial bacteria a home to grow? What do you guys think? am I just asking for trouble from hostile microbes?

~CReePeR~ Well-Known Member Dec 8, 2013 #2 I think Its just gonna take up space that water would normally take. The hydroton may even clog lines to the buckets. this is just my opinion.
