I don't think this is supposed to happen - Bud From Fan Leaf Stem

Hey guys, these pics are rather old but they are of one of my first harvested plants... there were 2 fan leaves on the plant that had sprouted bud from the base of the leaf's stems, see the picture for a better look. Is this normal or just a cool mutation or something? Only happened on one plant I think.. the strain was paradise seeds White Berry. thoughts?

I saw that same thing a while back on RIU, no one could explain it then, maybe this time.

Yep they were fem white berry, one plant hermied but i dont think it was that one. =] cool to know.
