Hi this is my first time at growing my plants are just on seven foot tall i think i have a male and a female by what i have been reading do i have to get rid of the male or can it be used it has just started getting flowers and when do l have to cut the trees and hang. thank you dianne

Pics would help, especially if you're unsure of the gender of your plants 
If you're positive that you have a male, get him OUT, unless you want loads of seeds on your female.
Good news though, you can dry that boy as he is, and make some decent hash or edible oil.. just about as potent, but less active/glandular material than you'd get from a female of the same age. If they are indoors and you're not on the other hemisphere, I sure hope they're flowering.. plants will generally anywhere from double, to quadruple in height/size, from the size they were at the beginning of bloom
