I need opions on trimming old leaves

So i have a plant that has some yellow looking leaves would it hurt the plant to trim the leaves? so it can put its energy into a differnt part of the plant instead of tryto heal itself

I need some help but mostly peoples opinons.

Remove any yellow or brown leaves. If they have no green left in them... then they are useless and can even be a hindrance.

ok thanks what does hindrance mean like it could put stress on the plant.

Nah, they just serve no purpose... yet still takes up water and nutrients... and doesn't give back to the plant.
