So yesterday morning I turned my lights on in my flowering tent (about 4.5 weeks along) to water, about 15 minutes before schedule. NBD
This morning the doggo, about 4 am, needed access to the backyard. I walked to my backroom to let her out, and fuck me, its daytime in my tent. about 6 hours after the girls should be in bed.

How much of a headache did I just create for myself?

TIA

If just once its fine. Ive turned a grow light on to harvest a plant next to it piece by piece turning light off/on each time. No issues week 9 flower. Many convinced it can herm even with a power strip light on. I wouldnt doubt anything as Ive eventually had things happen that Ive heard of. Light leaks just arent a big deal to my pheno which from seed hermed.

It out grew that trait as soon as I cloned it. What looks like that to me is a plant with only 1 or 2 nanner or sac sights from head to toe. Mildly seeded and unviable seeds. Id try a clone if it does that but if its sacs nanners everywhere you look and viable seeds everywhere popping out.. Trash lol. Mines never seeded again.

Maybe some strains are vulnerable than others but thats a trait up to you to keep. It can be hard to bin something you really like. Unless its part of your grow and it happens to all other strains. I just remember one saying goes down to events vs ongoing this is considered an event that plants should tolerate.

It takes a good few days to initiate reveg and a week of it to mess things up. Ive heard of people just carrying on and were ok after about a week so that said this is nothing unless it happens. Chances low tho I dont hear much about it.

Yeah one or two slip ups like that during flower won't cause any harm, usually.

The stability of the genetics is a big factor. Unstable plants will herm at the slightest opportunity. Stable genetics shouldn't skip a beat.

gracias, that was my assumption, but I like to exacerbate problems in my head :)

The 222 i have in my tent does have a tendency to herm, enough that the breeder is discontinuing the strain. Typically avoided with a long veg, which I went 108 days or so. Already watching like a hawk for nanners.

You know what 4.5 weeks is a bad time for it to happen but like one said if its a strong one it should tolerate it. I have a new pheno like that now from seed so wow shes pure so far not one spotted.
