i want smelly cheese!!

hi, im new to this forum and new to growing in general, my friend has done 2 crops of blue cheese and both times the bud growing on the plant smelt really nice and strong, but after drying smelt like hay on the outside but if you tear a bud or grind 1 up it smells incredible!! i just want to know how to get it too smell on the outside too, any help much appreciated! (sorry if this has been answered else were i did look before posting but couldnt find an answer)

It needs to be cured properly.Read up on that hope this helps.

Sounds like it was dried too fast. Buds need to dry from the inside and the outside. When attempts are made to dry them too fast they tend to dry too much on the outside and not on the inside. Don't try to cut corners, dry them in dark, low humidity!, and with light air moving around but not on. Do it for a week, maybe a little more and then get them into a good curing routine.
