No questions but I'd just like to say 'thanks' for all your efforts. I am sorry to hear you have some medial issue that require MM.

Wheatback, I was going to send you a pm but it's disabled on your account. Anyway I am going to give it the old college try tomorrow and feel out my allergist for a note for a card. Am I too early in my efforts? Basically stress releases hitamines and tends to agravate my allergies so I feel I qualify. That being said I am going to at least talk to him about the possibilities. I am however expecting him to say he isn't aware enough about the guidelines since it's so new. He'll probably tell me he'll look into it and get back to me. I'm kind of nervous about the conversation since he'll probably put it on my record that I asked and I am assuming he'll say no.
Here is the question. If he does say no can I go find another doctor that will say yes? It seems in CA and CO over the last few years doctors who specialize in the procedure of granting cards popped up everywhere. Here in MA the laws says you have to have an established relationship with your Doctor.
Also what are my chances that my stress condition would be able to qualify me?
Lastly you stated in another post that they will probably let people grow their own even after the dispensaries open up even though the law says you have to have problems getting to a dispensary to qualify as a home grower. Can you elaborate?
Once again to summarize my questions:
1. Will Doctors who are on board and who specialize in granting cards be popping up?
2. Will my stress issues have a chance at getting my qualified or am I setting myself up to get laughed out of the office?
3. If I do get a note and start growing will I be able to continue growing my own after the dispensaries open even though I can easily get anywhere. Basically how are you saying people can get around the home grow/access to dipensary issue?

1) Doctors specializing in cards should not be popping up because of the law saying that this needs to be a doctor you have a regular relationship with.... but u shud be able to find at least one of your doctors who will approve you

2) Your stress issues are less likely to be approved by an allergist, but remember..... any medical doctor that you have a bone fida relationship with can approve you

3) You'll pretty much need to find an excuse, for example...... you can say that being in the car stresses you out even more... youll just need to fimd am excuse like that

I need to find a new doctor. I know my primary would laugh at me. He says no to everything. He didn't even want me to get an MRI and do physical therapy when I hurt my shoulder. I did see an allergist today but he was cranky pants right from the get go so I didn't bring it up. I know he wouldn't have given me a note, I could just tell. So what is a bona fide relationship, 1 month, 1 year, etc? This new law is gray area city.
Have you heard of anyone getting a note yet? If they do get a note what is the next step? There is no info out there so how could the doctors even know what to do?

Edgar, thisa probably won't help you, but it may some one else.

Peeps with a back or neck problem can use a chiropractor. I was told when I went for my card that I should go to one. You may have to look up yer local regs & laws.

There is a California grower, Rick Maughs who may be able to help find docs. Just enter his name in a search. No promises, but Rick has been at this a few years now. He's also been a grower & a good one for many years. I think he was one of the 1st to grow MJ trees.

Hope this helps some one.

EDIT: Hey,Wheatback, I forgot to say a big THANK YOU for your work in MA. Good on you boss!

For bona fide, i would start looking for doctors now..... they need to at least give you 1 total physical and then another at the time of the recommendation....... the doctor will also need to go over your complete medical history with you....... as for the note, you can get it now..... you would need to hold on to it until Jan 1 when you would send it to an adress which the state will release..... a copy of the recomendation and a certified mail recipt from the post office will serve as your card your actual card arrives.... keep posting with more questions!!
