Ice hash question - how dry/wet should the trim be?

I've watched a few of the 'how-to' videos, but I'm not sure if the plant matter should be green/wet or dried out when making ice hash? Or does it matter? I thought that it probably shouldn't be to dry so that it doesn't crumble and powder and turn to 'mud' and clog up the silk screens? But, maybe I'm overthinking it... I've got some buds I've had hanging for 2 weeks, and I decided that I'm going to use some of them to make hash - I don't think that the buds should be overly dry with only 2 weeks of drying, but I'd like to get some other opinions.

You want the material dry so you can crush it up. If your using a bag just use one, the fine one the others aren't needed.

i find i get more hash when i freeze the wet material and work with it that way. i dont bother with dry material unless im going to freeze, crush, silkscreen and then dump the keif into the buckets for an extra pure treat and i use all 9 bags, each one filters out different levels of contaminants, and i smoke the 45 25 and 100 mcu bags content, nothing else.

yeaa i did it and my leaves were only dried for a few days.. they werent really crispy or anything.. in my opinion. it doesnt matter that much how dry it is.. u dont want them fresh obviously... not sure how ur planning on making ur hash.. but i made a thread for when i made my hash.. and i just used basic household items to make it... and it gives u a step by step way to do it with pics... soooo if u wanna check it out heres the link.
