If an HPS/MH bulb was cracked would it pop straight away?

I can't see any cracks on my light, but if there was would it of exploded anyway?

If it does have cracks it will explode at one time or another or just quit working. Do you have a spare bulb?

I've never had one crack in my garden, But I HAVE shot out a street lamp (HPS I believe) that was shining right into my bedroom, and that fucker took for ever to go out completely. And it didn't explode, either.

And BTW, I have my Nomex Hanes boxers on, so flame away for shooting out that damned light!!!!
