As the topic suggested i recently got lent 250w blue CFL with no hood and im looking at getting started on an auto grow.Ive read a lot and considered this for many years now.The problem is i suffer from OCD and i have white carpets and furnishings just put down and if i made a mess the woman would KILL me.If there is no mess im golden.Now the carbon filter problem is the leakage of carbon dust.I already had door hinges leave black dust on the carpet once and we both replaced every hinge and cleaned it all off.It drove us both well mostly me insane trying to find out the source of this mysterious black dust leaving random marks around the doors and carpet.
I have looked on youtube and have witnessed how dirty some of these carbon filters are for a household or bedroom.One guy on youtube had his whole floor and window coated in black carbon soot and i would just freak if that was me :/ Ive read up on how Rhino often have carbon dust and how it can even be in the boxes upon delivery! Some people take em outside and push lots of air through to blow it all out and then give it a clean with a wet wipe and a hoover.Still messy for homething thats inside your home imo.I have even heard people suggest dunking the entire filter unit in water and letting it wash away the small dust and then let it dry out.
What the hell can i do here? Im not greedy and only need 7-8 ounces once per yearly grow.Roughly 4-5 grams a week but can make do with 3grams.I count two plants of bubblegum/blueberry under one 400W HPS grown with clay pebbles in hydro like a 4 pot amazon,wilma,or oxy pots just once per year to keep me stocked up with yummy bud and hash.
Could something like 2x bubblegum be done without a filter? I do have neighbours on that side of the house and the wall is 8ft away from a couple who would know the smell of weed.It is not a big room but its a spare room and stinking inside a little wont matter too much as no one really gets inside and if they do im normally toking anyways do my house smells of weed a bit.

Could a vapourtek inside the tent with perhaps some ozone going in too kill off the smell of bubblegum in flower from neighbours? The only other solution is to somehow find a way of 100% guarantee no carbon leaves the filter or gets around the house or tent/light.I would even be prepared to flower 1 auto bubblegum at a time without a filter just to cut down on the smell.I think if i had a good rotation going with young plants coming in just before the other finnishes i could have enough to keep me going all year around? I counted out 3 months from seed to bud 4 times per year and i need just two ounces minimum per autoplant under 400w HPS and oxypot.
Opinions and help would be appreciated so so much guys and gals.As long as there is nothing silly suggested like stop being OCD about dust.No matter how high i am i simply cannot stop being OCD.
PS I have no idea how strong bubblegum can smell and have never had the pleasure of smoking it.For comparison the most stinky weed i have ever had to date is one gram of Big Buddha cheese (smelled like air freshener/fake flowers that leave incense smell) and it reeked so bad lol!
