so i chopped her down and shes hanging up now. Clipped all the leaves I could off there are small ones that I can't get to. Anyway after a week or whatever of hanging I heard about putting them in jars..?

Whats up with the jar thing? What does it do, and how do you do it? Does it need to be a glass jar or can it be a plastic Tupperware container?

Mason jars are good for long-term storage. Tupperware containers are good for short-term storage.

Everything permiates, moisture and smell. You want the crop to have some moisture in it or it will degrade the quality of smoke. Another thing, light will also destroy the quality of smoke.. nice cool dark places are perfect for storage.

I've always did a test smoke of the crop to tell when it was ready to be "jarred".. some just try to see if the stems 'snap' or 'bend'.. if they snap then it is done drying.

OR

You can use a food dehydrator.
