I'm thinking its about 1 or 2 more weeks to harvest. Can anyone confirm?

Basically, the title says it all. This is my second grow. Shes a Mohan Ram, from Sweet Seeds. Its kinda short, and bushy. I LST'd it
a little, to try to get more light to the lower branches....perhaps a bit too late. But anyway, live and learn...

Thanks for your help!

i say three weeks....but you need to look to see if 50% or more trichomes are a light Amber colored...thats when there ready.
they look pretty white from here but you need a microscope to really see.

Yes, they do look pretty white. They've been that way for a while.
A question on nutes. Would you give her Bloom nutes till about 1 week before harvest?

Thanks BuCannabis, for your input.

id flush for two weeks at least to push out built up nutes in the plants. the more you flush them out the better the final taste. and will reduce harshness

I agree that they look over-fertilized and no where near ready. Flushing is done by forcing large amounts of water through the plant's medium.

I don't think she will be ready in two weeks, though.

How long has this plant actually been showing signs of flowering? Not when you put it under 12/12 lights.

I definitely think it needs quite a bit more time. The buds don't appear to have swollen much yet. I would honestly guess 3-4 more weeks but that can depend on alot of things, but primarily it will depend on genetics. According to the description it says 8 weeks which can vary depending on phenotype also. I don't start to consider my plants to be flowering until I see signs of flowering. This can be controversial some growers count from 12/12 others from flower signs. When its all said and done looking at the trichomes on the plant is gonna be the only accurate way to judge the maturity. You can get a little scope with 60x magnification at radio shake for about $10. Look at the trichomes on the buds at the top and bottom of the plant. I harvest when it seems that 90% or more of the trichomes are completely white/cloudy(maximum THC potential) and I have some ambers as well to ensure full maturity. Some people wait till they have a higher % of amber to increase the sedative type effects by letting some of the THC turn to CBN(which is why it turns amber).

If you are going to flush most people flush for between 1-2 weeks. I always suggest that new growers try both methods at some point for them selves to determine which they prefer in the long run. Some people don't believe in flushing, some swear by it, personally I don't believe either group is right or wrong, just different. I've tried both and I don't flush any more it never seemed to make a difference. However the way that you dry and cure your end product will make a HUGE difference in how it tastes and smoke!!!!

Anyway I touched on several points here, but I strongly suggest READ AS MUCH AS YOU CAN about all these subjects. Please be careful what information you take at face value, and do your own research and experiments. Far too often you get people just parroting information they have read without ever trying any of it, or actually comparing things. There are MANY different ways to grow so never stop trying to learn!

Thanks TC for your generous response!

I don't think they were quite flowering when I switched the lights to 12 12. I changed after 3 or 4 weeks of veg, mainly because I wanted to control the height of my plant, for space reasons, and also, I need this plant to be done, before the 15th of July!!!!

I was wondering if they do seem over fertilized. It may be that I used too much of the Bloom nutes. I've cut back, and am not using any at the moment. But the tips of some of the fan leaves are a little burnt seeming... Not very much, but a little. I'm not going to freak out, but now I'm just cutting down on nutrients.

About the curing. I have to leave town for 5 weeks right after I harvest. Could I keep them to dry for that long, upside down in a closed dark space, for that duration, or should I have a friend put em in glass jars while I'm away?

Thanks again all, and TC for the advice! Very much appreciated!

Have a friend jar them, 5 weeks hanging would be waaay to long. They might be a little over fed they don't look too bad in that regard don't think. As far as needing it done by july 15th I don't know if it will be done or not but I guess if thats when you have to cut it then do it. When I asked how long it had been flowering, I meant how long has it been forming flowers on it, looks like only 3-4 weeks to me.

I suppose I could see 6 weeks I was looking at one of my girls last night and it looks similar. Mine however I know has 3-4 more weeks as its a clone from a plant I already ran. Good luck.

I agree with trench yes flush, for great taste , also its up to you, what I would doo right now when you start to flush, I trim off every fan leaf on the plant to get the light to the bottom of the plant onto the small buds, do not do it if any nute are out of control. best to only do one plant its only your second grow. and see the difference your self , those bottom buds will get sugar in no time, also you should cut a small bud off now and smoke it . will give you a super head high. which I prefer and after your flush your going to smoke, for that more of a body high, you will have some comparison , for me I would harvest it right now in your pic, but it would of been flushed, because I need to keep the plants rotating, doing what I say smoking a sample, will give you the option doing that next time saveing 2 weeks a harvest that's a extra harvest a year only if you like the head high buzz.
