hi guys im abit new to all this been smoking bud for like 10 years now fed up of dealing with people for the same old shit was thinking of growing my own thought this site might be of help was thinking of getting the 2-4 starting hydrponics sets on www.somhydro.co.uk

does anyone think this will suffice any tips and advice would be much appreciated

how are you as far as a drain goes its very difficult to haul buckets of water in and out of a grow when its time to change out the systems water

Sounds like a good start. There's probably some more you'll need along the way like a ph meter and fans.

I don't know much about hydro so I'm not much help there but go with the 400w or 600w if you want more than 2 plants.

There is a sticky with a hydro grow video called Mr Green's I Grow Chronic on pot tv it shows you how to set up your own hydro system and how to maintain it its under free grow videos worth a look

thanks for all the advice guys could really do with it dnt really have a clue as far as the grow goes lol to roberts 15617 drainage is no problem my grow is gonna be in me house getting a kit in the nxt week maybe a diff kit would work better for a first time grow ? .... to 420 god was thinking of just getting a few plants to start not to waste to much muni if a mess up on the crop was thinking on a xs homebox 60 x 60 x 120 just to get me started may grow more when things go well think a 400w would be ok in this tent ? thanks again to all giving advice

For that size area you would almost need a 1000w light if you're talking inches.

If you ever plan on having more than 4 plants than I would go with the 600w right away or you'll regret it later.

60 x 60 x 120 cm not inchs only a small tent to start me off iv never grown before very excited but am a real newbie dnt really have a clue about anything up untill a month ago i just thought it was a case of getting a light and some soil away you go but it seems thats not the case the more i try to learn the more in depth things seem to be but am keen on learning and cnt wait to get a few plants of me own

Ahh, then the 250w or 400w would be good with proper ventilation.

Kits can be tempting ....and over priced ... With a little more digging you could prolly get that kit a lot cheaper if you shopped around and bought it all in bits , I notice it dont include a Contactor for the balest ... Or any form of Climate control... and no air filters .

This is all stuff you would have to buy on top of that kit price ...so be aware

Want some good advice ?... want to save cash ?.... want a great first grow with very little problems ?

Spend 2 weeks just learning all you can here and around the internet ... Watch videos till you think you know this stuff in your sleep and then read some more .

Then make a list of the stuff you want ( and need) Collect the parts for your set up and build it as you go , Get it all up and running and temps dialed in before you even pop a seed or cut a clone .

Grow in Pots with Coco and a coco range of nutes for your first grow , Its Cheap and VERY effective , You will learn how the plants respond to changes and learn to read them , Coco growing is very forgiving if you make mistakes .

Read problem sections in forums .... learn from others mistakes ... Don't be in a rush coz this shit takes patience

hey thnks for the advice really need some at the mo have decided to buy in parts was now thinking of a small 4 pot wilma system ? hered some gd reviews little confused with the lights and things there are so muny to choose from and i aint got the muni for it all atm was hoping on getting a small cheap grow to make my muni bk to slowly upgrade thnks for the welcome
