Increase odds of a Female

I have been doing a lot of reading and came across a theory. During veg stage you can interrupt your dark period with one hour of light to increase odds of a female. Has anyone ever tried this, need input please.

Somebody has had to try this. I have read it before, but want to know if anyone out there put it to the test.

If it was the case I would start it with every grow for sure. I have heard that interrupting their dark time during flowering can turn them hermie tho (I might be wrong)

No it is not true you can kill your plants by inturupting the dark stage. or severly damage it to the point it will die. lol belive me i have heard this when i 1st started growing and it fucked up my plants and soil cause the soil got a nasty smell to it after the plants died like there was and infection going around in the dirt.... So i say again DO NOT DO THIS lol

how could changing the light cycle put an infection in the dirt?
Not that I think this is a good idea I just dont think your problem had anything to do with interrupting the light cycle..

Well the plant was fine until i did that. The roots just died in the soil after about a week of me doing that every other day. it was a horrible smell and no one could give me answers to why that happened so i assumed it was that cause the plant was nice and stronge... with big leaves but thats what i thought it was and i think it still it... and turning on the light when its dark stages can inturupt the plant ask any one
