Ok, so our goal is to be able to get at least 6 oz. (aiming for up to 2 pounds though) every 3-4 weeks. We are Just starting the process of deciding which strain(s) we want to use. We are attempting to grow 4 different strains to see which one(s) will suit our setup and give us the best results. A large yield is the most important factor, but short flowering time and quality smoke are also very important.
The Strains:
G13 Labs Pineapple Express Feminized s (PE): This strain has the highest expectation out of all the contenders. The movie hype combined with the seed sellers description make this weed out to sound like the best of all worlds. Short flowering time, large yield, beautiful buds, high potency, amazing bag appeal and smooth smoke are to be expected from our girl
Green House Seeds Alaskan Ice Feminized (AI): Rumored to have the highest concentration of THC out of any strain grown today (almost 30%) This baby is incredibly potent. This is the second attempt at this strain. The first trial proved very informative. If all problems are corrected from the first grow then this strain should very well compete with the rest of the strains.
DNA Lemon Skunk Feminized (LS): This plant is expected to yield large and taste sweet. The Genetics behind this baby are undeniable and The only thing keeping her as the top contender is the extra 12-15 days flowering time. We will see if it's worth the wait!
Dinafem Power Kush Feminized (PK): This girl is a fast flowering and and is supposed to have thick dense buds with loads of white hairs to give her bragging rights on bag appeal. If the yield is high and the smoke is even Higher she may be the one we choose.
We are also growing a 5th strain, Northern Lights(clone), but the expected flowering time is more than 5 weeks longer than the rest of our babies So she is not a serious contender for our project.
The Story so far:
So far the Alaskan Ice is in 3 weeks flowering with around 6-7 to go she is looking beautiful. We have her under an 8 bulb T5 Florescent light on a 12/12 cycle in the flowering room.
The Pineapple Express and the Northern Lights clone are in their own 5 gallon buckets in the clone and veg room under a 4 bulb T5 Florescent light 24 hours a day. The Lemon Skunk and Power Kush seeds just germinated today and we put them into our makeshift clone box with the only AI clone of 5 to survive.
