Indoor White Widow grow 3 x 250W CFL Agro,

Hello stoners!
I've been growing a pure sativa (some random dutch seed), under a 90W LED Ufo in a Dark Room tent in an attic storage thingy, taking clones to keep a cycle going, but the harvest was sadly dissapointing. I didn't use proper nutes so that probably added to my failure. But the lamp probably isn't that great either.

Either way, the attic was getting cold as the winter approaches so i've moved it into a waterheater closet in my apartment (water heater's old and not running).
As i've gotten more room for my grow op, i'm going to get a better setup. I would like to have HPS or MH, but i'm a little paranoid about the heat and eventual fire hazards considering i'm a clumsy stoner, so i decided to go with CFL's as the title says.

The nutes i'll be using is the Canna Terra "series", and the strain will be GHS White Widow. The "attic" is on the same level as my apartment, i live in the top of the building. So i'm going to drill a hole in the wodden wall in the closet, to connect a carbon filter setup, blowing the hot air straight into the attic. Hopefully keeping my bed/livingroom somewhat odorless. Also, i will be putting up Diamond Mylar from bottom to top in there! I'm planning to keep a grow journal for fun, and hopefully i'll also get some input from more experienced growers.

The space i'll be growing in is 160 cm high, 60 cm on the short side, and 100 cm on the long side. How many plants do you think would be appropriate with those lamps and the space i've got? Would SOG be a good option later on after i've taken clones?

I apologize if my writing is irritating/faulty, and for using the metric system. i'm Swedish

Okey, 4-6 plants. Let's say that i have four white widows in square shaped pots to make most of the space. going to buy 30x30cm 18L pots for the final stage, but will be using smaller pots in the beginning. Any ideas on how big a yield i'll be able to get, using the canna terra nutes and 750W CFL? I'm no pro, but i will try and do the best i can :D

4 plants is a stretch in that space, especially given your choice of lighting. Personally, I wouldn't grow more than 3 plants.

You're using three CFL bulbs, and although they're high wattage, each bulb won't produce sufficient light to cover more than one plant. The usable light emitted from CFLs doesn't travel very far (no more than 12 inches). If you had 750 watts of CFLs spread over 20 bulbs, you'd have a much easier time positioning the bulbs around the plants for maximum exposure to all the bud sites on each plant.

There's nothing wrong with using fewer CFL bulbs of high wattage (I use two 125 watters for my grows), but in order to get the best out of your setup, you should consider trying a ScrOG. With a flat canopy made up of three plants, you'll be able to position your three bulbs over the canopy fairly easily, and the whole canopy should be exposed to a consistent amount of light. More plants in one space doesn't necessarily equal a higher yield. If fact, too many plants can cause untold problems and significantly reduce your expected yield.

I would expect a return of 2 Oz dry per plant if I grew in your space with three 250 watt CFLs, which is roughly the amount I get out of mine.

Pics of your setup?

Peace

I haven't had the time to install the equipment yet but as soon as i do i will put up some pics. Also i won't be doing the white widow this time, it will be Afghan Hindu Kush, got a pack from a friend. Don't know what brand it is.

And thanks for the tip btw! Will propably do a scrog, but that will be next generation. I have like 10 seeds and i don't think they're feminized so i'm going to plant them all and veg them for 2-3 weeks, long enough for me to take 1 clone from each one and label both clones and motherplants. Then i put them in flower and sort out the male plants and clones and do a scrog on the clones after harvesting the existing plants :)

:) blessings and love!
