Insurance man coming soon, will my girls be ok with...

So apparently the insurance guy needs to pop by the house for a quote or whatever it is they need to do.. I was thinking it may not be such a BRIGHT idea to have a 400 Watt HPS Ballast right next to my closet with a cord going into my closet, it may raise some suspicions, also probably listed as a fire hazard if not Hung or placed properly.. Main thing is I dont want him knowing there is anythnig going on!

Think they would be ok with a full 24 hours without light? I donot think it will obscure the grow process too greatly, but it may shock them a tad... I just dont want to stress them into hermies, any input would be great.

I think you'll be ok. Just don't make a habit of messing with the light cycle. Just unplug and move everything before he comes and put it back after he leaves. I plan on shuting my stuff down next week Tues the 30th. Cable guy coming to install cable, internet, and digital phone. He's gonna be all over my basment. I plan on moving everything right out of the house for a bit. No point in getting caught. My plants are a couple weeks from harvest.

I don't think the insurance guy will take a look in the closet, but he will enter the room where the closet is in so I gotta get some deodorizers and such, take down my blackout curtain( which mean my room wont be blacked out.. fuck!)... Guess im going to need to find a new home for the girls temporarily...Unless I moved the blackout curtain inside the room... Too many thoughts going on atm, need to smoke a bowl

better to get them out of there. It shouldn't be 24 hrs you'll miss. More like 4 or 8...no sweat.

Yea that would probably be the best bet, take them and the lights down.. but the room is full of Mylar lol and i really don't feel like taking all of it down to put it back up. It's an insurance Appraiser, any idea what they do when they come? besides interrupt my grow... >_<

I think it varies, but it is an inspection. Now in my home state the county property appraiser cannot go into my home unless I invite them (I do). I give them a slice of pie and watch my taxable exposure drop... Always negotiate with food on the table.

This is for an insurance appraisal though, and I'm pretty sure he will want to see the inside. I don't think the mylar is a real concern if everything else is gone. I'm pretty sure appraisers see all kinds of goofy things.....

rent a uhual, stick em in there when they're in the dark cycle. Make sure to get some fans in there. Sounds like he'll be there for a few minutes, you'll be fine. Whats your light cycle right now? What time is he coming? Is this during the lights on cycle?

A couple of weeks? I know it's cable and all, but can't you reschedule? Thats risking alot for a couple weeks of entertainment.

That is without a doubt the best idea yet!!! I have often wondered about those POD containers as well.

Right now they are 12/12 almost a week into flowering, the heat where I live it would be over 100 degrees in that uhaul even with fans blowing, I would need an AC unit in there. I spoke with a couple people and they said they will take a look around, but i am thinking since its in my closet, if i just have a sheet covering them from the inside and they attempt to remove the sheet I will just tell them that I have a photo devloping lab in there or something and if you expose them light you will ruin the photos.. It is a long shot but worse comes to worse i can remove the plants asap and take them to a friends house, Fuck this is stupid.

As far as when he is coming i have no idea, haven't setup a time so I am just trying to get a gameplan ready for when he does show up.

They won't hermi. Whats the big risk? I'll have everything boxed up and stick it in my shed till he is gone. then bring it back in. I have cable run through out my house, but he has to run a cable for my internet and run a new phone line. Maybe an hour or 2 tops he will be here. The light cycle has never been fucked with so there's probably little chance of them hermi'ing and if they do, by the time they do and are able to spread pollin I will have harvested the crop. So it's no big deal. When I said a couple of weeks, we are talking 2 and a half weeks here. not like I am a month or more to go.



ETA: BTW no I can't wait, I have no tv in the house now cause I shut my sat off and my wifes needs here Dasiy of Love show on VH1. LMAO bad enough shes gonna miss this sundays episode. She'll just have to watch it during the week. LOL..

hahaha I feel ya man, ends up the insurance lady is coming on monday, i think i am just going to put the plants on the back porch.. Chances she knows wht they are are highly slim, and plus i have a tomato plant outside.. if the girls were budding thats one thing, they just have a couple pistils coming out and the lady will not be on the porch but a minute..
