Interesting Yellowing at Bud sites

Yellowing at bud sites - Outdoors

Hello,
These plants have been top fed with a light layer of garden compost and have been watered and rained on for a week (very beginning of hair-bud growth). After this they all showed rapid growth and definitely started looking healthy. Within a weeks time each bud site (where the hairs are beginning to show) became bright yellow, but the rest of the plant/leaves are healthy looking.

I also noticed that many of the wild plants in the area are showing slight yellowing - this all took place in about a weeks time.

What do you think the problem could be? Possibly sulphur deficiency??

I only get that when they are hungry. When i fed my plants the other day they looked like that i just upped the dosage and the next day they were pretty and green again.

Thanks for the advice. All these have been fed is a small dose of dolomite powder and compost on top of the soil. This was about 2 weeks ago.

No its not a def its overwatering, in poor drainage soil, is it wetlands there? Also clear some of that shit covering shading growing over the hole ,its also sucking nutes out of the hole. O2 starved.

My idea with the low-covering overgrowth was to shade the soil from the sun to keep it moist longer, but I see what you mean now. It is not a wetland, the soil here is a bit crumbly kinda like sand. So Im assuming the nutrients flow away pretty quickly?

Do you think I should just continue adding compost to the top of the soil around the plant (composed of rotting leaves, nettles, vegetables etc) each time it gets watered? Last time this was done I noticed a growth spurt and a more healthy look until after the rain.

its def not getting over watered. The water drains quick in that soil. Its very sandy.
and it dosnt even get as much water as it should/ Have to back pack it in.
