International payment

Not sure where to post this but here it goes. I ordered from herbies last year using a debit mastercard but am having trouble this year. I emailed them and they said to check with my bank to make sure there isn't an international restriction on my card. I called and there were none.


I've read a ton but have gotten some conflicting info. Also one site told me that MasterCard is trying to eradicate the purchase of seeds and that many places have stopped accepting them due to possible heavy fines(I'm thinking maybe that's the problem I'm having with Herbies).

I've read some people say Green Dot cards do not work internationally but I've read others say they do however you must first register the card and wait to be issued an official card which then can be used internationally.

I've also read that Vanilla Visa works but I do not have any experience with them, same goes for Wal-Mart Visa cards.


So what I'm asking is if anyone has recently used any of the above methods with success. I'm in the central United States.
