Ok so i have comcast internet. I pay 40-50 a month. I used to have cable and internet and that was 140 a month. The price for internet didnt change when i cut my cable off. I used to do a speed test and get 12 mb/s, my downloads would be as much a 2 MB/s. Now i do a speed test and its like 2 M/bs. I am only actually downloading everything at 170 kb/s max. Utorrent, steam, mozilla any download. Nothing has changed, same router, same modem. Im plugged directly into the router. My router is very secure so no nieghbors leach.

Im wondering whats going on.

With the cold spell i figure the cable wire is frozen needss to be thawed out............MY lights were gettting real dim and had to go outside with a torch to heat up the eletric cable from the meter to the house.

Switch over if you can. WPA is much more secure. WEP is so weak, it is almost like having no encryption at all. A serious gamer or someone downloading a shitload of data could easily crack it.
