Interval timer settings for separate fresh air?

Hi all, pretty new to growing and luckily a friend has taught me a lot how to get started successfully. Still I'm always trying to find better ways to do things. Currently I use an 8" exhaust fan and passive fresh air intake to manage heat. I also use a 4" fresh air pusher fan to pump in a cool air but on a old timer with 15 minute increments....which I don't care for. My new digital interval cycle timers should be here today and I was thinking of running a 5 minutes OFF, 30 seconds ON for for fresh air...this should also help manage Temps a little better as well. Anyone have any guidance or suggestions on cycle times? Thanks!

Just put the fan on a temperature controller, then it will kick on when needed, An inkbird is pretty cheap.

Yes, I currently have my exhaust fan on the temp switch and it does come on as needed, on the inkbird in fact.

I would like to run a fresh air pusher fan on an interval as well. I feel this would help maintain temps a little better and keep the exhaust fan from running as much. The fresh air pusher will also run on an interval during night phase when the exhaust fan doesn't come on. If I don't do this then there is no fresh air being pulled into the tent when the lights are off. Appreciate the suggestions!

So you don't want ventilation running away the heat at lights out.
It's freezing where I am I had the same issue, I've wired a 2nd relay to take over when it cools.
I find humidity isn't a problem so I have my relay set for 0.3 of a degree, that equates to about 2min on every 15/20 minutes.

I added a heater that kicks on at 68 degrees as to not get below that. That allows me to bring in fresh air (it's in the 20s at night) but still keep the warmth. Whether I'm pulling air out or pushing it in it brings in cold air. The heater also helps to lower the humidity a bit as well I find. Thanks and I'll look at spreading my interval out. At night (lights off) I have it pulling air every 5 minutes for 20 seconds and pushing air in every 7 minutes for 10 seconds.

I'd usually let humidity decide how frequently the fan comes on during light out but i'm using a dehumidifier inside my tent now so rh is not an issue for a change hence the 15/20 minute intervals.
Before I installed the dehumidifier I was using a heater but I didn't have the same control over the humidity for more wattage.
Now I'm back using a 150w tube heater + dehumidifier and maintaining 19/20c around the pots and 18/19c at the canopy.
