Is a pre-rolled joint good for 2+ months after it was rolled?

So my dispensary was having a sale on cross-joints and I knew I would be hanging out with my friends at one of their cabins soon so I figured I would get us an Indica cross-joint to put us all to sleep at the cabin (we are all California MMJ patients). The plans got cancelled and now they are about 2-2.5 months from now. I would never smoke the entire thing in one sitting (probably like 5 smoke sessions for me) so I want to try and keep it again for the trip. One of my buddies said I should just smoke it myself because "it goes bad being ground up and exposed to the air like that" but I was kind of skeptical about that. So I was wondering, would the marijuana in the cross-joint go bad or is he just talking out his butt? My instinct definitely tells me it doesn't go bad though.

Most here don't worry about keeping one joint that long. I have jars of unrolled weed that are over 1 year old and the weed is fine. As long as your J is kept hydrated it will be ok. That said, Just smoke it and buy another.
