Is it fine to water after watering?

I've recently flushed a plant and just to make sure bc it was on the high side of nutes but I tested when I fed yesterday I think it was at 1600ppm after I fed it 1/4 nutes it probably needed more bc the bottom/middle leaves are turning yellow?
Basically I'm just wondering do I wait till it's dry then feed or feed sometime before it's dry?
And how much nutes should I feed?

Often I smoke after smoking so I guess what you are doing is okay. I can't be much help unless you can assist with the type of medium you are currently growing. If you told me before I don't remember. I'm often smoking after I smoke. So it happens.

Mother earth performance soil
Let it dry out a bit not dying off type dry where you see wilting but just before that you wanna let the soil breathe soggy damp soils can't so much so it be a good idea to keep a close eye on em and don't water till your sure the soils dried up a fair bit mate

So even after it's showing deficiency I wait? I just check today there's 7 yellow leaves already removed 5. 4 of them are curling. Other leaves are turning yellow with like either dark or rusty spots
Seems to be slowly/midly progressing

I'm a coco guy, but I have grown in soil when I first started.

I think soil with dry amendment fertilizers will give you high ppm runoff readings. That was the case for me and I flushed nearly every time I fed (flush, then light feed, then 4 days later the PPM is 2000, and then repeat the process) to bring the numbers down and it never worked and I was underfeeding, and then the plant took off when I ignored the runoff and gave it food.

If your plants are getting worse than before you decided to flush (they didn't look all that bad then, IIRC), then you should probably focus on the plant and what's going into the soil and not the runoff. You're growing plants and not PPM's.

In coco, runoff is very helpful to monitor because the substrate is essentially sterile, but I don't think that's the case with amended soils, even after you start synthetics and presumably after the organics have been leached.

When you say you're giving 1/4 nutes, what is the PPM of that?

You could give it half so like a litre/feed then let it dry out but you wanna get it drier before soaking it again ideally
