is it ok to take a plant from soil and put it into a buble hydro setup ?

well I just dug up a decent size plant bout 6 inches 4 sets of leaves i got it all the way to the roots dipped them in rain water then rooting solution if there is a better way to do it please tell me this is my 2nd grow first in hydro

??? Are you starting them in soil then moving to hydro?? If so it's all good when there young just make sure all the mud or at least most of it is removed in the rain water before planting on.

Sounds like you done it right.
