took the shell away with tweezers because it was stuck two days above the soil. haven't done that before and not sure if it looks normal. and other question, should i give it some light now or wait 'til I see the leaves?

Couple drops of water on the sprout and plenty of light it should survive
What is your soil temperature?

Spray it with water.......you might have the membrane still attached.......it'll soften with water.
