Is NPK 1-1-1 same as 20-20-20??

Hey I'm a little confused on the NPK ratios that are given. I understand it's the ratio of N to P to K, but is 10-10-10, ten times as strong or concentrated as 1-1-1??

I read a lot about cannabis fertilizers, and see lots of people recommending 20-20-20 (not sure if they're talking soil or hydro), but these Technaflora hydro nutes are like 1-3-6(BC Grow). Does that mean they're pretty weak compared to 20-20-20?

Thanks

It is both a ratio and a %. 1-1-1=10-10-10=25-25-25 and so on.

The % part is, say you had 100lbs of 20-20-20. There would be 20lbs each of N,P, and K.

Make sense?

Just to clarify a certain point,

Yes, 10-10-10 fertilizer is ten times as strong as a 1-1-1 version of the exact same fertilizer *in the bag*. Your plants will still use the same amounts of nutrients no matter which of those two you use, though. For example, if your plants can handle a mixed fertilizer with .01% of N, P & K, respectively, then you'll mix (x) amount of the 10-10-10 fertilizer with a gallon of water to create that concentration. When using the 1-1-1 fertilizer, the amount you'd mix with a gallon of water would be 10(x) and it would create the exact same fertilizer solution as when you used the 10-10-10.

While 10-10-10 is ten times as strong as 1-1-1 in the bag, one-tenth as much is used so that they both end up creating the same solution when mixed.
