Is partial harvest possible?

I have never read anything on the subject of this.......I am curious, if a person were to harvest the lower buds on a plant because they wanted the trich's cloudy but wanted to continue the remainder of the grow for the main cola trich's to turn amber, would this have any harmful affects on the plant or prolong the final harvest time of the main cola?

Just trying to get an idea of weather or not a person could effectively achieve a variety of highs from a multiple timed harvest off the same plant....

Very common practice I believe. I'm just used to seeing it the other way around tho. ppl harvesting the tops first so more light can get thru to the lower buds.

the best plant iv'e heard of for this is the original FLO From DJ shorts. after 6 weeks flowering most of the buds need harvesting but the tops need another few weeks. check it out.

I do it all the time. I usually harvest the top cola first, as it tends to ripen first, and then let the lower buds continue to go until they too are ready. It's very standard practice.
