is pressing rosin "processing"?

curious if pressing rosin with a rosin press is considered "processing" by legal definition. thx

subcool tells a story about a friend of his who was recently busted "just" for having a glass tube with residue in it. They charged him with processing rosin because the tube is typically used for bho blasting. He was under plant count and had a legal amount of weed. They didn't even find concentrates.

That I think was in CA.
