What is the last thing I can try that might have a chance of saving my terribly overwatered pure power plant? The leaves are bright yellow, growth shoots ALMOST appear white! All leaves are curling under and turning brown at the ends. New growth is veeery slow. I am very certain that the bucket has bad drainage.

If I wash the soil off the root system and cut back some roots might it survive a transplant like that? Would I have better luck trying to take a clone? The plant has been in trouble since I recieved it from the clinic.

any pics? i would transplant it VERY VERYYYY delicately, into new nice soil with a good amount of perlite in it, and get a new pot for drainage.

I would repot it. But your plant is very stressed now. If you cut any of the roots your going to stress it even more and for sure its going to die!
