Is the Deep South a good place to live?

As the title states... Is it good to live in TX or LA? I'm looking at moving to Houston for the cheap cost of living, but the deep south is backwards republican and religious. What are some thoughts about the south? FL is no longer on the list because the medical system, schools, infrastructure are a fucking mess. LA only has New Orleans as an attraction to me.

Why don't you look at the ranking of the South in categories like education, roads, crimes, obesity, dui, etc? You couldn't pay me to live in the South.

LOL, So the south is full of republicans though Florida is no longer on the list because of democrats.
Detroit has some nice, low cost living available.

I'd say do more research. New orleans is like the murder capitol of the US per capita...so ya alot of bad shit goes on there.

you forgot NC thats still deep south, and no there not good places to live if you want to be in a business setting and are interested in making giant leaps, unless your in the city. there allot of slow mentality to the south. people dont feel like going anywhere so it goes right to their work place. anything business wise takes twice as long to get done in the south.

Weeeeeeellll doggies!!! We just shuckin' and jivin' down here in SE Florida LOL NOT!!!!!!..around here we have it all..schools, weather and beauty..but the moment you get out of Ft. Lauderdale, Miami area it does turn into Georgia for the most part..and I do not have any affiliations (other than schools) on my stealth mobile just in case..but we have LOTS and LOTS of campuses..a weed growers DELIGHT :P

I see Canada cut funding for senior citizens recieving phsyical therapy. Apparantly 50 visits a year was too many so the Government said 12 would be sufficient.

dude...i didnt mean anything political about it. jeez relax lol i just prefer to stay here. i know youre proud of your country and you want to defend it at ANY chance, but this wasnt one i was just a post it was not ment that way relax

I'm not that proud of my country to be honest. It's very vogue to bash America though and it's not nearly as bad as people think if you choose the right location. I love Canada too, I was just looking at it over the weekend actually.

i didnt bash america i said I AS ME , MYSELF, SUNNI, INSTERMYNAME HERE wouldnt want to live there. i didnt say anything was wrong with it i said as MY CHOICE i wouldnt want to live there
