Is there something I did to make my trichomes mature slowly?

Chopped @ 66 days from flip.

I grew four different strains from 2 different breeders. My trichomes were clear on all of my plants.

Don't ask why I chopped but it was a scheduling issue.

Anyways my question is, these were supposed to be 8 week strains and I'm wondering if there are any factors that are know to slow or inhibit trichome maturation.

Only your belief in the breeders stated flower time. Assume going in it's going to be 10 weeks from flip. For scheduling purposes.

On the breeder timeline is only on perfect growing environments and doesn’t aim to us hobby growers. I always figure 2-3 weeks longer than what they say

You have to harvest a plant when it's ripe, not when you think it should be ripe. Don't go just by trichomes either, look for all the signs of ripeness to get a complete picture https://forum.grasscity.com/threads/a-guide-on-when-to-harvest.666373/. I haven't harvested a strain earlier than 12 weeks in a couple of years-and many of those were 8-10 week strains on paper.
