is there something wrong here?

Hey I just had a quick question. I've looked at other threads and other people's pictures, but haven't really came across what I have even though I'm sure it's common, but I would like an answer. I've got the yellowing on some leaves and some brown spots. It's only around 3 weeks old..inside..with flr. lights.

The seedling leaves at the very bottom naturally turn yellow and fall off as the plant matures....the OTHER leaf however, looks as if it has nute burn. Are you putting nutes on your baby plants?

If not, what kind of soil are you using?

You posted pics...that's a good start. Need more info though, like what kind of soil, are you feeding yet? What and how much. Strain, how old? Give as much info as possible so we can give a more accurate diagnosis.

Yellowing and/or brown tips is a sign of nute burn. The two little round leaves are yellow because they are done providing the infant plant the stored nutrients it needed to get started and will die and fall off shortly. Your other brown tips could be slight nute burn or deficiency. At this stage, no nutes just yet...maybe week 4 and only a light dose. If the soil is one with nutrients in it already, then that is the answer to brown tips.

Okay I think Boneman answered my question. I haven't started putting nutes in them yet, but I am using soil that has it in it (MG) (I know I probably shouldn't be using that but I couldn't find anything else to get) Will they be alright in this soil or should I find something else to use? And if so, which kind that can be easily available at the store. Oh and these are just seeds from a bag I had.

There really isn't too much you can do that won't potentially harm your plants. Just ride it out and don't give them any nutes for a while. Don't water them too often. That releases the nutes in the soil.

I actually bought MG potting soil before I read all the posts about how it causes all sorts of problems. So I returned it and instead I got MG Organic potting mix, top soil, and perlite soil mixture. Now I have a lot more control on if/when i give nutes. Everyones advice is solid so far though. No nutes for a good 4 weeks and yes, the cotyledon will naturally die off once the true leave sets get to growing. good luck bro!!

You'll be fine.....Just water normally cuz there aint nothing you can do. MG works and there has been tons of great results (including mine a long time ago) but its not the most popular method used by alot of experienced growers nowadays. Ride it out and dont give any nutes for a while.
