Hey, i have this fuzzy white stuff inside the buds growing. this is a Malawi gold sativa strain. I think maybe she is done, so might as well cut her now

Cut All Those fucked Up Pieces Out. dont Smoke that! It's bud rot (mold)!

thanks. i started cutting some of it out. She is a 100 percent sativa and her thricromes are clear. but some amber on top. I think i shall cut her down completely. I had bud rot in one of my previous plants and some of the white fuzz on top does not look like bud rot, could it be crystals

It could. I wouldn't be able to say for sure. ..what strain is it. How long did it take to flower.

It is a malawi gold.. 100 percent landrace sativa. Since september i believe grown outside in tropical climate which gets 12 hours of sunlight

You could cut out the infected bits and spray the rest of the plant with fungicide if the plant needs more time to flower. In humid climate its a must to use fungicide on a reg basis. You can apply fungicide every 5 days and/ or after it rains. Bend buds back and spray inbetween flowers thoroughly

thanks I read somewhere that with 100 percent sativas the thrichromes go from clear to amber and skip the cloudy phase and that its best to harvest a sativa when clear. I see amber on the tops.

That is root rot. There might b a way of fixing it but if ur doing soil i would try and look at the root and if its rotted then google and see what u can do.

You might be right about root rot. Because the leaves are all turning yellow and dying off. I think i should just cut it now and salvage what i can. too late to fix any root rot. I was going to let her go for a week or 2 more. all her hairs are brown. no whites around so maybe she is done

Yeah shes done then... Leaves dying off at late stage is normal

i never had a 100 percent sativa. the trichs look clear under the microscope. but i guess that is what i want for a sativa. clear head high.

I just remembered there was these white bugs i believe uh mealybug. it was white and fuzzy i think it was that, i killed them when i saw them about a week ago. Could they have done that. I knew i should have lit those bugs in a joint. lol Looks like all the buds are this way, i will see if i take more pics

Looks like that stuff is on all the buds. It looks like its just dried and crumbly and looks like its the leaves and calyxes that are infected

Pic 717 is bud rot. Break open a cola and u will know for sure. No cure. Destroy it dont smoke it.

Thanks. I will chop her up now. salvage what i can from her. I removed the bud rot and its nice and green when i remove that dried part.

You would not smoke it. this is the top of a cola i cut off, this one was not as bad as the other cola. but i remoed most of the stuff on it.
