I can’t seem to figure out what is turning the lower leaves yellow. I remove the yellow ones and a day or 2 later more turn yellow?
Please help.
6.10 PH
Hydroponic
1.46 TDS
Master blend 3 part mix with pk boost.
Started seeds on May 29.

It seems to always Be old growth and usually the larger lower leaves.

Thank you in advance!

Just barely a little low N maybe but often a few older leaves on larger plants will do that. The plants look pretty good in general so maybe add a dash of Grow to the mix.

You list TDS as 1.46 where I think you mean EC which would be about 725ppm on the 0.5 Hanna scale. A bit low for hydro on plants that size but I wouldn't go a lot higher as they should be getting into flower fairly soon maybe?

I wouldn't worry about it too much as everything else looks great!

Were are you located that they are still in full veg mode? Not your address or anything but your latitude and country maybe. I'm up around 56N, 188W in Alberta, CA. Photo period plants don't begin to flower until the middle of this month so I haven't bothered with outdoor growing until this year when I tried some auto fems outside and that went to shit. Two came up males and the other two did not autoflower and only one has showed sex and its a girl. Still waiting on the other one and tarping them over from 9pm-9am to try to force them to flower. Still have about 16 hours of light per day up here but the days are getting shorter fast. Unfortunately we can have frost before long so will be forced to cover them up on the colder nights for the next two months after the end of Aug and not sure if I want to bother. I'm going to get a couple cuttings off each and grow those inside over the winter to see if they are worth keeping. One is hi-CBD with almost no THC and the other is hi-THC with no CBD.

The one on the left is the CBD girl that just yesterday finally showed a few hairs. Still waiting on the other.

Missouri - it’s been so hot and humid this year. I don’t anticipate the flowering cycle starting until med to late September maybe even early Oct. I hop before that but just guessing following the charts of day light hours dropping. Your ladies are looking good! Thanks all for the comments.

Muzura! Holy crap. That's a world apart from where I am up in BumF**k, Alberta! If you know where the oil sands are up at Ft. McMurray I'm about 100 miles due west of that. 20 hour days here for most of July and August then we can get killing frosts or even snow by the end of August tho the last few years we've had great Indian summers with just a day or two of frosty nights. (Is it still OK to call the late onset of winter an Indian Summer anymore? lol)

We've had an unusually wet spring/summer this year. Humidity is way higher than normal both outside and in my grow room in the basement. First time I've seen my basement temp get over 64F in the summer but only got to 70F but rh of 80%. In the winter it is really dry so my grow room may only be 20 - 30%rh at 75F.

If you could rig up some shade cloth over your girls you should be able to get them to start flowering a little earlier but an early start may not matter where you are so I really can't advise that way.

I would advise that you plan on some sort of cola support tho. Once those suckers start budding up big the colas will flop over for sure. I can't advise you that way either.

Good luck!

Wowza 20 hour days sign me up! This being my first go at it, I may just see how/when they start flowering and if it’s too late before winter temps crash in on me I will move them to the greenhouse, the temps here have been about 98-112 degree heat index but the girls have sure powered through it somehow, I really anticipated them to get heat stroke lol... they are Super Lemon Haze feminized and seem to be rather resilient. So far pretty happy with my first run at it, although I have many years of hydro experience with vegetables, tomatoes ect. Hell I even grown blueberry bushes in hydro, they are the best blueberries ever and a lot of them. Good chatting with man, good luck with the ladies! ✌

20 hours of dark is no fun and that's our life half the year too. I'm already a chronic depressive and have come close to eating my shotgun a few times tho I know I never would. My two weeks from being 93 mother is still alive and my demise would near kill her as we lost my oldest little sister just this March to ovarian cancer.

That's some serious heat but cooler days are coming. I'm glad I haven't had anything in flower the last while but should be flipping a bunch in a couple weeks or so. I could have kept the heat down to 80F or so but the humidity is rocking 80% from our wet spring/summer. Not at all the usual but thanks to global warming each year is a new experience. lol Just checked and the rh in the grow room is down to 60% so looking good to switching out the 600W MH for a 1000W SHPS in a couple weeks. Might go with 2 - 600W on the Light Rail instead but not sure how I'll set up the 2 dozen plants that need to get flowered yet.

Hey buddy, a bit off our original topic, but a topic that is way more important than the original; about your bouts of depression, and the shotgun comment. I have had several people I really care for in my life take the shotgun approach, I know you said you would never do it, but wanted to give some advice that helped me. I have had a battle with it before and here is what really helped.

1.) Stay away from doctors drugs (unless you have found something they give you that you really believe helps, short term AND long term) they problem is pharmaceuticals can help short term but make way worst long term or vice versa.

2.) Try to get some Kratom, not sure if it is legal in your neck of the woods but it helped me tremendously, gives me energy and motivation to get going and it seems to help me stay more positive about my situations.

3.)As weird as it sounds I had to quit smoking weed, it actually acted as a depressant to me (took me 20 years to learn that). After all it is a depressant, and although the clinical term depressant doesn’t mean causes depression it seemed to with me. Not day one of smoking, it’s the days after, very hard to explain. but it literally took me 20 years to realize a plant I loved actually was modifying my depression, once I quit smoking and got some Kratom, I haven’t had any bouts of depression. This is different for everyone, my entire family smokes but it doesn’t affect them that way.

4.) So I grow it for my family as I still believe it has more helpful benefits than harmful, but everyone is different and with me and my chemistry I finally realized it was harming my mental well being.

All and all Man, I don’t have a magic wand, and don’t know you but I know your pain when depression arises and truly pray you get piece and maybe something I said here relates to you and can help. God speed my man!

Yes that is a nitrogen deficiency, but it's nothing to worry about! Plants naturally transport nitrogen from the lower leaves to the upper new growth. This is a natural part of the plant's life cycle.

You can add extra nitrogen fertilizer (such as FF Grow Big or GH Flora Grow+Micro) during your feedings, your plant will be just fine.

I haven't used any pharma meds for depression in almost 20 years. I'm not on any pharma meds for anything which is pretty rare for a guy or gal my age. Had to do a run of antibiotics recently for a nasty boil that had to be lanced but other than that not even aspirin on a regular basis.

2.) Try to get some Kratom, not sure if it is legal in your neck of the woods but it helped me tremendously, gives me energy and motivation to get going and it seems to help me stay more positive about my situations.
I've heard a lot about that Kratom and could probably get some but want to try mushrooms first. $$ are the limiting factor.

I've done the quit using pot thing a few times and sunk way deeper into depression after a few weeks so I'm pretty sure it helps in my case. I use less than 2g/week in microdoses of smoked pot and rarely take a hit until 4:20pm or later. CBD cocobudder I take in the evenings but haven't been keeping up on that so my arthritis is getting worse again.

It took me 20 years to realize the plant I had just thought of of just keeping me high was actually lifting me out of the depression I've had for over 40 years now.

Thanks for your input tho and I'll look into the Kratom availability too.
